monday gymnastics

  Mondays - Gymnastics

Children will be exposed to basic tumbling, obstacle courses, dance exercise moves, and balance beams. Children will also work on basic motor skills like running, galloping, skipping and hopping.

tuesday  Tuesdays - Art Class

We are excited to bring an Art program to the enrichment classes. While we know the children experience many aspects of art during the preschool day, we are excited to dig deeper in to the world of art.  Curriculum will be carefully planned to including a variety of artists like, Picasso, VanGogh, Kandinsky, and Jackson Pollack.  Using a variety of mediums our little artists will not only be creating pieces based on a variety of artists, but they will also be learning more about each artist using stories and hands on learning experiences helping to foster the development of fine motor skills.

  Wednesdays - Cooking

Cooking is a hands-on experience designed for preschool aged children. The children will be able to explore a variety of simple cooking projects. The children will have one cooking activity per session and will be using a variety of foods to create their project. These cooking sessions will encourage the children to explore new foods and each child is directly involved with the activity; measuring and mixing and putting it all together. The children will have the opportunity to enjoy the food they are working with during the class session.

  Thursdays - Spanish

With the PVPUSD’s introduction to a Spanish Dual Immersion program this upcoming fall we will be offering a Spanish enrichment class for our preschoolers.  Research shows that learning a second language boosts problem-solving, critical thinking, and listening skills.  In addition it can improve memory, concentration, and the ability to multi-task.  Brains of young children, especially those age 0-3 are uniquely suited to learn a second language as the brain is in its most flexible stage.  We are excited to share a beginning level Spanish class where we will introduce the language with games, books, and some fun activities using simple words and phrases in Spanish.

  Fun Fridays

We will rotate classes each week and offer a variety of fun activities including Yoga, Science, sports, and outdoor play activities. Science for preschoolers is a fun way to learn all about observation, experimentation, and the connection of children’s senses to the world around them.    Yoga and sports allow the young children to develop their gross motor skills.  Some activities will be done inside the classroom, while others will be outside in the natural environment.
